An Open Letter to the Students of Mid-Continent University
To the students of Mid-Continent University,
We, the members of Morthland College of West Frankfort Illinois, have watched with sadness at the turmoil you have faced over the past months. As a fellow conservative Christian college, we grieve whenever the work of the Lord has to reduce its kingdom influence or close its doors. Yet, we are reminded of God's promise to Israel in the midst of destruction, a promise that is particularly relevant to you, the children of God, in this difficult time.
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV)
While we do not know the specifics of God's plan in your life, we know that He has promised to care for you and guide you. You will continue to be in our prayers.
We would also like you to know that we are here to help you in any way we can. While we do not yet offer the wide variety of degrees available at MCU, we offer three that might interest you. These include:
Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies
Bachelor of Arts in Classics
Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration
Please visit our website (www.morthland.org
) for more information about each degree. If you are interested, we will work with you to help you maximize the credits you earned at MCU and put you back on track to graduate.
If you have any questions, please contact our Dean of Student Affairs, Cathie Mieldezis at 618.937.2127 or email her at email@example.com
